RETHINKING STRATEGIES

TOJAS was established in 1991 to promote quality and novelty in the field of Innovation (turn-key project in transfer of technology), Small Size Enterprises (SME) management and strategic development, with a focus on Smart Design, Recycling, Reuse, and Vocational Education and Training, comprising innovative training approaches for social entrepreneurship, considering non-formal and informal learning methods, disruptive management and disruptive strategy models applicable to SMEs.

Our activities also correspond to the capitalization of an ageing working force in clusters areas, such as Transportation (automotive, merchant navy, train), Construction and Building, Pulp and Paper, Packaging, Plastics, to name but a few, to be transferred to a younger generation, also covering: corporate and social responsibility, social entrepreneurship, gender equality and plurality (immigrants, and people with special needs or at risk of exclusion).

 

The staffs of TOJAS is composed of collaborators and a network of experts and associates gathering more than 25 years of experience in the referred fields, who have been involved in the a variety of activities and sectorial industries, comprising Vocational Education and Training (VET) at a practical level and in key fields related to the European Union agenda and policies.

 

TOJAS have been more recently (2012) involved in the dissemination of its activity at EU level through a consortium platform: Horizon Europa Partners.

 

Besides our core activity as SME in the field of recycling and reuse, our mission is to encourage and support the process of business innovation toward a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, considering an ageing population context. We provide an inclusive approach (capacity building) to generate innovative and reliable outcomes, creating and enhancing social values, social cohesion and inclusive development, empowering communities.

 

Our main aim is also to enhance employability through challenging learning programmes, innovative business models and strong international cooperation, encouraging and supporting the concept of competence capitalization between generations of workers.

At operational level our main activity covers: a) dismantlement and recycling of structures in a variety of industries such as telecommunications (wireless building structures such as shelters), ICT, transportation, construction and building; b) refurbishment and reengineering of the referred structures; c) turnkey project design, implementation and monitoring.

 

Tojas gathers an extended experience in the field of turnkey projects, ofering a competitive advantage within strong consortiums for projects that are time and resource-intensive, allowing organisations to keep on with their customary activity, and reducing the number of interfaces to minimum as an alternative to large number of purveyors. Fields of expertise cover:

- Structured networking with key stakeholders

- Monitorization and evaluation

- Quality control and enhancement

- Expert groups long term supporting work plans

- Dissemination at regional, national and international level

 

At educational level, our core activities cover: a) design and implementation of training courses on project management with a focus on the Millennium Development Goals and the Global Education framework; b) effective work placements, apprenticeship and internships; c) inclusive networking with the world of work such as business associations, public, semi-public and private employment institutions, chambers of commerce and craft, and social partners; d) observatory of best practices on sustainable development policies oriented to labour market demand; e) research into the transfer of innovation and recommendations in the creation of such policies; f) diffusion at the broadest EU level of effective best practices, case studies and strategies validated.
