Developments and activities

Education, training and empowerment

Promoting and fostering lifelong learning within an EU dimension considering the strategy, policy and agenda of the European Commission regarding Vocational Education and Training (VET) within current working groups such as CEDEFOP’s community “Credit Transfer in VET”, “Non formal and Informal learning”, “Skillsnet”, or such as the European ECVET network. Acting as a proactive contributor and facilitator in the field of learning mobilities activities within VET frameworks and at EU levels such as EQF, ESCO, ECVET, EQAVET, ECTS, and EUROPASS.

Surveys, comparative studies and good practices collection

Contributing to EU level surveys, mapping and scopping. This activity is associated to research and survey programmes in order to collect the results anticipated, thus preparing ground for the realization of implementation phases. Mapping of good practices, examination with questionnaires (survey) and comparative studies refers on the one hand to the comparison of current needs in targeted areas and populations; and, on the other hand, to mapping and scoping of applicable good practices, developing innovative approaches to provide solutions regarding the issues in hand.

Exploitation of results and multiplication

1. Multiplication with volunteers for continuous local and regional community engagement - A pool of volunteers acting as multipliers (trainers, facilitators, speakers) are trained in the first stage of projects’ activity, aiming at the preparation of a sound sustainability plan, encompassing analysis of tools and strategies for the transferability of all outcomes, and a plan to engage organisations in the field and promote events for validation, while transferring competences, beyond the project’s lifetime.

2. Self-access learning centres aim at making available at residential level learning material and information for self-access and also counselling on the possible integration of projects’ outcomes to further activities. These units are to be established within the existing facilities of participating organisations or in one of their associated partners, who will be contributing in that way with all necessary resources. All clusters are programmed for a minimum of 3 years lifetime.

3. Observatory Committee on open web platform (policy analysis experts); after the project is finished, a structured forum supported by a web platform is created and programmed for a minimum of three years lifetime, in order to continuously analyse the evolution of the context in hand and provide recommendations to referred and targeted stakeholders.

4. Spin-off developments with working groups of proficient EU level policy experts (members of the participating organisation and associated partner network), activated during the implementation of projects, to provide guidance and support for the anticipated exploitation of the project outcomes beyond its lifetime, within the sphere of the field in hand, considering existing EU.
